The Most Important Factor For Getting Back With Your Ex: Attitude

by Marc Sandford

Almost nothing compares with the pain of a breakup with someone you love. You may be thinking that you will never overcome the pain of losing her or of ever getting her back. You aren’t the only one who has been through this because breakups between couples are very common.

The thing is, people are separating and getting back together all of the time. Stay motivated and positive and nothing will stop you from getting your girlfriend back. Here are some tips for replacing your pain and pessimism with positive motivation:

Getting past the pain is vital to your mental health and to getting back together with your ex. Self destructive behavior is the inevitable outcome of wallowing in your pain excessively. This self destruction can take the form of anger, anxiety, depression, alcoholism, and drug abuse.

Resist the urge to get fatalistic with “it wasn’t meant to be”. Until you’ve actually put forth the effort, you really don’t know whether getting her back is possible or not. Don’t waste time sleeping and watching TV all day, it will only encourage depression. Your life won’t improve without a good effort on your part. The time to get started is now. Put together a plan for getting her back and take action.

Start a program of self improvement. You will want to improve yourself on the inside as well as the outside. Lose some weight, improve your wardrobe, and brush up on anything else that could use a little improvement. Come to terms with personal shortcomings that led to the breakup and decide how to change them. These improvements will bolster your self image which in turn will boost your optimism.

Get away from the house and have some fun. Think back to the days when you were single, you had fun then, so it is possible to enjoy yourself without your ex. Reacquaint yourself with old friends and make some new ones. Nothing bolsters the self confidence more than meeting with and gaining the interest of other women. Your perspective on life will become more balanced when you get out and live it.

The difference between success and failure will almost always hinge on your attitude. This is true in every endeavor that you pursue in life be it sports, career, or your love life. Pessimism will drain the life force out of you and hold you back. A positive attitude motivates and builds up the energy and confidence that you need to get your ex back.

You have to come to terms with the pain of separation and move on. Wallowing in your pain will lead to self destructive behavior in one form or another. Depression, anger, anxiety, drug abuse and alcoholism are some of the consequences of allowing your pain to control your life.

Begin a self improvement program. This program should deal with both internal and external improvements. Take off those extra pounds, put some effort into coordinating your wardrobe, and do whatever else that needs improvement. Think over the personal shortcomings that caused the breakup and resolve what to do about them. These improvements will make you feel better about yourself which improves your outlook.
