The Different Materials Used For Blinds

With so many different kinds of materials used to make blinds like wood, vinyl, aluminums or other metals, fabric, and pleated fabric, the care and cleaning of blinds vary.

This can cause damage, which may not be repairable. These blinds can be vacuumed with your home vacuum, and you can use the brush attachment gently, brushing in the direction that the fabric lays.

Using soapy water and a soft cloth will clean your vinyl and cellulose blinds. As you can see, this is the same procedure as when cleaning metal blinds. Again, wipe down each slat very gently so they do not get damaged.
