Wheatgrass is renowned for its extremely high concentration of chlorophyll, but it is also high in cellulose, which renders it indigestible to humans. When however, wheatgrass is processed into powder, tablets or juice it is digestible which means we can utilise the numerous benefits wheatgrass has to offer our health.

Wheatgrass helps eliminate skin conditions such as acne and scarring related to acne and other skin conditions such as eczema when applied to the skin. One of the numerous health benefits of wheatgrass is that it can help with the removal of harmful toxins from the body and the restoration of damaged tissues.

With all the vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and amino acids found in wheatgrass, it is no wonder the health benefits are so numerous.

Wheatgrass contains 20 amino acids, several hundred different enzymes not found in other foods and as many as 92 out of 102 possible minerals, vitamins and other important nutrients found in soil. It also contains 17 amino acids, the building bocks of protein. These amino acids are essential for tissue rebuilding, cell repair, and blood clotting.

Wheatgrass helps us to maintain optimal health due largely to its vast array of essential minerals, vitamins and enzymes. It can help us to build red blood cells, purify blood and detoxify vital organs such as the liver and kidney due to its high concentration of chlorophyll, which is beneficial for overall immunity to disease.

One of the main reasons that wheatgrass powder has become so popular is because it contains most of the vitamins and minerals that the human body needs to maintain a healthy body. This is a great way to get everything that your body needs without have to take more than one supplement.

Wheatgrass contains amongst others, the minerals magnesium, calcium, potassium and zinc. It is also packed with a wide range of vitamins including the B group vitamins, A, C, E, and K.

Elements that are missing in human body cells such, as enzymes, hormones, and certain nucleic acids are abundant is wheatgrass.

Suggested consumption depends on the wheatgrass product used. One teaspoon once or twice daily for wheatgrass powder and 1fl oz daily for pure wheatgrass juice is recommended.
