Special note should be made that you should only use either distilled bottled drinking water or Reverse Osmosis purified water when watering your Surinam Cherry Bonsai tree, or any other type of bonsai tree. Your average carbon filtered water systems will not do. This type of water still has chlorine metals and minerals in it that has the potential to harm this type of tree. It a good idea to fully water the tree with a spray bottle. Once down, let the soil dry out before watering again. Keep your bonsai tree in full or moderate sunshine for best results. It does require a special type of fertilizer that you can obtain over the internet.
The Surinam Bonsai Tree is a beautiful small tree that takes at least 6 years to become distinguished. Several factors are considered before setting a price; these consisting of age, condition and appearance. Paying the set price is worth it, when you take into consideration the value of the tree and the effort to form its shape.
These trees take many years to train and prune. Bonsai trees are trained and trimmed to be pleasing from any angle one looks at it. The trees are trained by using wires to hold them in place while it continues to grow. Plants always grow upward toward the sky so after new foliage appears if it is in an undesirable spot it is usually cut off. Perhaps the owner of the tree wants to see just how the new foliage will grow before he decides to do anything he may even choose to leave the branch and just wire it in a different direction. Weights are used also in training a bonsai tree and by adding extra weights the owner can get a desired result once the tree grows a little more.
It is very common for a plant to find itself root bound in its container. In order for its survival, the plant must be transplanted into a larger container. The owner will have to carefully go through several steps to complete this process. The first step in this process is taking the plant out of its container. Once the plant has been taken out, the roots have to be trimmed away from the trunk in order to reduce its size. Finally, the owner must place the plant into a larger container of his or her choosing. The process of transplanting the bonsai tree is a must for its survival.
