Popular Dieting Plans
So you think you need to lose some weight and you want to do it in a hurry; take the easy road. All you have to do is sit down at your computer and type in “diets” and you will finds hundreds of them; they are generally called “fad diets” and some are potentially hazardous to your health. In this email I will try to explain a few of these diets and help you sort out the concepts of how they work.
“The Atkins Diet” is probably the most popular diet that has swept the globe. The theory behind this diet is if you eliminate or drastically lower your intake of carbohydrates, you will lose weight fast..
This diet definitely let you lose weight but only at the expense of the nutritional value of your food. Thus the diet is not what we can classify as healthy for an individual.
Another fad you may have noticed is the Medifast diet. This diet revolves around drinking shakes and eating things like soup. Whether the products that you can get shipped to your home truly have all of the protein and nutrients you need remains to be seen. This diet is quite high in cost, but you do get a couple of weeks’ worth of meals.
Famous actors have been paid to endorse the “Nutrisystem Diet” which is very popular and has produced excellent results. However, it is costly as you must order your meals and have them shipped to you. This diet is based on healthy choices in foods; something you, yourself can do without having to pay for the meals. Ask your doctor for a diet plan and then buy and fix your own healthy meals and save yourself some money.
South Beach Diet is another pre-packaged meal program offered to those who want to lose weight. This program is much like the Atkins Diet, where low carb intake seems to be the key to losing a ton of weight fast. These meals can be found in your local grocery aisles, so you don’t have to order them and have them shipped to your house.
The “Slim-Fast Diet” has been on the market for a long time. You had the mixture to low or slim fat milk, however, the name is deceiving; “fast”; you shouldn’t expect this diet to work if you need to fit into a dress in two weeks.
It’s important to remember that for any diet to work, exercise is important. The diet alone will not be successful unless you include a regular exercise routine along with it. I suggest that you always consult your doctor before deciding upon a diet that is good for you.
