I only use the best hosting provider there is when it comes to hosting your website. This provider would be Hostgator. In my opinion, they have a solid customer service base and my sites are never down.

Affordable web hosting should obviously be, well affordable of course. If you are paying more than 14 bucks a month, you are getting ripped off in my opinion. Although if you have a dedicated server or special needs, then by all means this is an exception.

Ask around before you go buying anything too. The worst thing you could possibly do is go and waste your money on a hosting provider that is worthless. Peer-reviews offer a lot of value, believe me.

Most webmasters will only really be concerned with disk space allotted to them, bandwidth, server uptimes, and databases. You could also throw in the web statistics panel too. These features are what you most likely will be using the most as well, so be sure and get a host that offers them.
